Lazarus’ Tomb

A couple pictures of Lazarus’ tomb. This tomb is located in Bethany, about five miles from Jerusalem to the east. It is a Palestinian city and they were refurbishing a mosque next door when we were there.

Now if you go down the very steep stairs some thirty feet maybe, you reach an area where there are steps that go through a very narrow opening into a tomb chamber:
